Bust a Move, Snowshoe Man

We generally see snow from late October through early April, but with an average annual precipitation of just 11 inches of water, we usually don’t see really deep snow. This year, however, we’ve been getting a lot of snow. It’s the third-highest snowfall ever recorded this far into the winter, and this past week it really piled up. With the long weekend, we’ve been getting out and enjoying it. Blowing it, shoveling it, walking in it, snowshoeing in it.

Overheated

Rose and I recently enjoyed a great trip to New Mexico and Arizona. The reason for the trip was a celebration of the life of Bob Dickerman. It’s an inherently sad reason for folks to get together when the person so honored has passed away, but it sure was a great group of people to hang out with.

Nicely Reheated

To our surprise, Fred Meyer’s had green chiles from Hatch, New Mexico for sale this year. I walked by them drooling like Pavlov’s dog a couple of times before it hit me that I should lay in a supply. Rose and Andy agreed.
